Evan Corder is the founder of Redwood Public Affairs, a full-service lobbying, public affairs, and strategic consulting firm. Over the past decade, he has worked alongside some of California's most experienced, influential, and effective political leaders giving his clients a unique level of experience to guide their decision making.
Prior to founding Redwood Public Affairs, Evan served as the Vice President of Public Affairs for DeBoo Communications, a leading political communications firm in Sacramento. At DeBoo Communications his work covered a wide range of issues which included managing statewide ballot initiatives, direct lobbying, and providing strategic consulting for a wide range of clients including Fortune 500 companies, trade associations and non-profits.
Before his work in the private sector, Evan worked in the California legislature for almost eight years. His political career started as an intern to Assemblymember Henry T. Perea and culminated in serving as legislative director and chief of staff to Attorney General Rob Bonta during his time in the Assembly.
In 2017, he was recognized as a top 40 under 40 award recipient by the National Association of Asian Pacifics in Politics and Public Affairs. He has served as a board member of the Asian Pacific Islander Capitol Association and in 2022, he was appointed by Governor Gavin Newsom to serve on the board of the 52nd District
Agricultural Association (Sacramento County Fair Board).
Evan was born and raised in Eureka, California and graduated from Sacramento State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. He lives in Sacramento with his wife, and their daughter.
